I received my B.S. in biology with a concentration in zoology and a minor in chemistry from Long Beach State. I then went on to obtain a single subject teaching credential through Sonoma State. I have a teaching credential in biology and chemistry. I have also taken classes at Saint Mary's College of Education.
Experience
I tutored all through college, which is about 11 years now. As a teacher, I have worked with nearly 1,000 students from all different education levels and socioeconomic backgrounds. I pride myself in being able to identify where students are struggling, meet them at their level and bring them up to the next. I also work to bring confidence to students and their work, which lessens test anxiety and encourages learning.

Hobbies
I enjoy learning and spend a lot of my free time reading. I also attend classes to further my knowledge in my current subjects as well as others that I would like to teach. During the summers, I obtain fellowships that get me into the working science/engineering industry so that I can bring back current knowledge and techniques to my students.
